    i had a devout ventures fan . mail me and openly admit that despite his devotion to the ventures the shadows were infact superior.
    i really think you need to study the shadows far more.
    they were the most dominant group in british history . for 6 years till the arival of merseybeat .

    Only people from UK think the Shadows are better than the Ventures. I myself have never heard anyone compare the two till YouTube. I have a feeling it’s more of a patriotic pride thing than a musical one. It’s like NA Mustang D vs. Supermarine Spitfire MK IX all over again.

    THE SHADOWS sold in millions. they were the most dominany band from 1958-63.
    they had the number one album . ep and single not even the beatles managed that. .
    with cliff richard they were consistantlt number one on the charts. so that kinda says bollocks to your record sales.
    thes were the biggest band in england foe 5 years. and far superiot tecnically than the venture sound although i do like a lot of there stuff
