I for one have long viewed Microsoft as one company that is notorious for placing customers in a corner and forcing them to pay for whatever service/ product no matter how small. Could the merger of Yahoo a company i would call a "freeloader’s dream come true" with Microsoft herald the end of all that is free on the net?
Since microsoft duplicates a lot of yahoo services (through MSN internet) like mail, search engines, photo etc it would spell the end of most if not all Yahoo if the merger went through.
The regular Yahoo user would suffer greatly.
Yahoo free mail storage is unlimited. Free hotmail is not.
And thats just one of the ways we would be cheated.
According to my thinking
Microsoft is under a great threat by google and is trying hard to re-polish its image. Acquisition of yahoo by microsoft should not effect common users in any negative way otherwise microsoft will be looser again..
