Some were just greedy pukes wanting free labor (slaves) and No tax's. While the rest wanted Freedom to better themselves and the people that fought for our freedom.
References :
ol white biker

No, not the way it exists today. Their economic system was much clearer and less complicated In your question you provided indisputable evidence of the inequities and income disparity, among the people living in the United States. It's obscene and incredible that one person could have $58 billion dollars while others are starving or losing their homes . The only logical solution is to start nationalizing big business, restricting their obscene salaries and perks and the gradual implementation of Democratic Socialism
References :
www.spusa.org

I imagine the sociopath Benjamin Franklin would be happy with what

we have now. But as for the rest, I'm absolutely certain the phrase and

idea "progressive taxation" was coined in a letter by Thomas Jefferson

to James Madison. The truth is the socio-economic reality was vastly

different than it is now; small business owners were small merchants.

Most people were impoverished labourers, and the few who

actually had lodging had built it from logs. Lands and other natural

resources were subject to centralized aristocratic and royal power. In

that time, capitalism was a way of uniting the peasants and

artisans into an economic system that would free both from

dependence on the decadent aristocracy. The Founders could never

have imagined the rapid, beaver-like construction of the complex

laissez-faire system that has torn through the modern world like the

Black Death.
References :
No I don't think it is. The media portrays Gates out to be a genius and a great philanthropist, yet all he has ever done is steal other people's ideas and make money off of it (and monopolize and close off the market to real competition using his money and connections), use his money for depopulation/population control programs of the people here and all over the world, and is funding (along with co-sponsors Rockefeller and the large biotech agribusinesses like Monsanto) stealing the world's seeds and biodiversity and placing them into a secure vault!

If he really cared, he would use his money to challenge Monsanto for patenting seeds (our natural food supply that they did not create and should not be able to own) and growing GMOs that contaminates other crops and ecosystems, make humans and animals sick, sterile, allergic and worse; causes famine and poverty because the seeds can only be used for one harvest; and hasn't been tested long enough to determine the long-term effects (although the rat and pig deaths in studies go ignored by our governments). Instead Gates is working with Monsanto and contributing to the problem by thinking about his own self-interests by making sure he has a stake in healthy and natural foods that belong to us while everyone else are left to be the guinea pigs. It looks like they know that GMOs will cause problems and food shortages and they're making sure they save all of our natural seeds that they can use for themselves (and seel back to the people at high prices). The world's seeds, the food, and it's biodiversity belongs to we the people, not Gates, Rockefeller, and Monsanto!

This is definitely not what our founding fathers envisioned for this nation!

I'm a green blooded capitalist myself. I love capitalism. I eat, drink and sleep capitalism.

I really wish we would try it here in the US sometime, I think it would fix a lot of what is wrong here. So to answer your question: No this is not the capitalism our Founders dreamt of. It started to fall apart almost immediately after Congress started acting as a charitable lender and was giving taxpayer money away. Both James Madison and Benjamin Franklin spoke about it.

I blame Congress and Fiscal Liberalism for our current problems. Let's try capitalism on, I really think it could work. Nothing else I've seen in my 40 years has.
References :
They left england because of high taxes much like we now pay now to senseless morons who are raping us and spending money on personal gain while calling it military, health care, interest and social security.
you know these guys can't be trusted to be the honest saint type.
I'm not saying they're taking all of the money. I think they're being kind enough to leave us the scraps. We are now cleaning up all the messes from the auto industries because the oil companies raised the prices and trucks lose value and this cost auto industries enough to fight that decision.
It's a tug of war between the little piggies and we pay for the works.
References :
our founding fathers never envisioned that so many americans would be willing to remain poor while waiting on help from a government that they tried so hard to keep from having the power to effect the peoples everyday life. they thought that if they put enough restrictions on the government it would increase the peoples ability and motivation to provide for themselves and we have ruined it.
