I know its an automated trading system for the currency markets, and that makes me nervous. Is it worth buying?
If you do not have experience trading Forex DO NOT start with an automated trading system. I know that there are hundreds of "traders" running around the internet saying otherwise but their only intention is to sell you something. An automated trading system can be a very powerful tool IF you know how to trade Forex, you understand the fundamental reason an auto trader works, and know how to adjust the auto trader to meet the changes in market movement.

Anyone with experience with Forex trading, particularly with Forex Tracer. Does it work?
Sunday, January 31st, 2010Forex trading and how to go about it from home?
Sunday, January 31st, 2010Can someone explain in detail how forex trading can be done from home in order to earn some additional income? Too, what is involved or needed? How much is needed as an investment?
I would check out fore forums.
Like babypips etc.
However make sure you understand every aspect of the forex game, because it is hard to earn good money if you don’t know what you are doing.
Maybe another option for you is to let someone else manage your account?
How to tell if a molecule has π bonds or σ bonds?
Sunday, January 31st, 2010Is there any telltale way to find out just from look at the molecule structure?
For example, I know that C double bond C has both pi and sigma bonds, but how would I know that by just looking at that structure?
Yes!
Single bond: 1 σ bond
Double bond: 1 σ bond and 1 π bond
Triple bond: 1 σ bond and 2 π bonds
The information above is true for covalent bonds.
What is dividend tax rate for canadian that received these dividend from a canadian company?
Sunday, January 31st, 2010What is dividend tax rate for canadian that received these dividend from a canadian company?
Thanks for link.
Someone told me the dividend received from a canadian stock can have lower tax rate compare to normal income.
Lets say in Ontario, but all provinces should have lower tax rate for eligible dividend income.
But how do you define "public" vs "private".
There is no special "tax rate" for dividends.
There IS a Dividend Tax Credit, deducted directly from Federal and Provincial tax, calculated on the respective schedules.
Dividend income is "grossed up" (i.e. multiplied by 1.25 or 1.45) before calculating the credit. The effective rate depends on the taxpayer’s marginal tax rate.
Forerunner of the modern corporation that enabled investors to pool financial capital for colonial ventures?
Sunday, January 31st, 2010
I think you’re referring to joint venture companies.
It was, as any such things are, risky, but at least the risk was spread out. If you had seven hundred people each investing a small amount (let’s say a pound each, if they were British), the individual losses would be much smaller than the loss of one individual who had sunk seven hundred pounds into the venture.
Is there any future working as a futures or derivatives trader? What are the risk involved?
Sunday, January 31st, 2010I am currently a fresh graduate with an economics degree. I couldn’t decide which job offer to accept, the tough choice is between working for a well known international bank in the consumer or corporate banking department, or to train as a futures and derivatives trader with a small firm. The reward from the futures and derivatives trader position is fantastic but i understand there’s a high amount of risk involved as well, therefore high risk-reward position.
Trader trainee jobs are highly desirable and hard to come by. If somebody is actually offering you a job as a trader trainee, then go for it! This is a fantastic opportunity. There is, of course, the risk that you won’t be an good at at and they will let you go, but that’s true with any job. Then you can look for other trading jobs, as well as jobs where a trading background is required. If you are good at it, the bonuses are huge. Don’t be put off by it being a small firm. This is a business full of niche firms that nobody has ever heard of outside the business because general image advertising does them no good, unlike banks and brokers that do retail business. The risks that you have heard of with a career in trading refer to the risks of trading your own money. As an employee, you will be trading the firm’s money or investment money managed by the firm. You get to learn by trading other people’s money. This is why these are great jobs and hard to come by.
How will the HBOS merger affect share price?
Sunday, January 31st, 2010I’m aware that there is an upcoming HBOS merger, but I don’t understand how it will affect the share price? Is it likely to decrease or go up?
There will not be an HBOS share price any more. The company is being taken over by Lloyds Bank. Your HBOS shares will be taken away and you will be given Lloyds shares instead. By this time next year the Lloyds price is likely to be higher than now, but it’s not going to move much for the first few months.
